A Diagnosis

For any of you who have not heard our new yesterday, here is an update...

Wednesday morning, Ben and our brother in law left for DC at 4am to see a Lyme specialist. The doctor spent a lot of time listening to Ben's symptoms over the past few months and after taking everything into account she clinically diagnosed him with Lyme Disease...And started a full panel of blood work that we will receive back some time next week. She believes Ben has neurological lyme disease and put him on an antibiotic as well as a long list of supplements, and a follow up appointment in a few weeks.

We are believing God, that all of our praying led us in the right direction in a really short amount of time. 6 months has really felt like an eternity, but after hearing stories and knowing friends who have suffered for years without a diagnosis and even being misdiagnosed, we feel lucky. Looking back, we know God was with us all along. We can't even tell you how many times we were asked if the doctors Ben had seen, had check for lyme.

Please continue to keep us in your prayers, that these antibiotics would start to work very soon  and that we can start putting our lives back together...

I can't even begin to express my gratitude to everyone for the meals, checks in the mail, gift cards, diapers, watching our kids...I'm completely undone..and I can't wait until God uses me to be a blessing right back because I now see how meaningful a simple meal from a friend is when you are so wrapped up in something and can't even begin to think about preparing a meal for your family...

Literally every need has been met down to our kids favorite pop tarts and coffee creamer...He's carried us this far and I'm hoping I have enough faith to believe he will continue to do so.

I can't wait to share more!
